Index

DOWNLOAD INDEX.ZIP (xxxx bytes).

Books covered: Information contained within the index is concerned with all of the White Wolf books in the Storyteller series, from Vampire the Masquerade to Changeling the Dreaming. What isn't covered is Ars Magica and Streetfighter. HöL is only mentioned briefly. I started buying White Wolf from Werewolf first edition onwards, so I've missed some of the early first edition Vampire books. I did get the reprints, though.

File format: Geocities won't allow me to upload an .EXE file onto my website, so I've had to store it as a .ZIP file instead of a self-extracting compressed file. If you require a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE then I recommend you trying shareware.com for a free version. INDEX.ZIP will unzip to INDEX.XLS. If this is unsuitable for your needs, you could try the alternative option below.

Minimum requirements: INDEX.XLS is an Excel 5.0 file, so you'll be needing at least Windows 3.1 and Excel 5.0. This is the lowest version of Excel that I could find that uses the workbook format. If you can't cope with this, e-mail me and I'll try and convert it for you. INDEX.ZIP is xxxx bytes and INDEX.XLS is xxxxx bytes.

Why Excel? Rather than having an online database, I feel it's better to have a file that you can edit as you like in your own time. I also prefer using Excel to a database program since Excel is more adaptable, you can dynamically change whatever you want. It's far easier to edit and play with, too. Using the Sort function in the Data menu should allow you to keep the information in whatever order you like.

Navigating the index: It should be fairly obvious how things are laid out. There's a contents page as well. I've compressed each book's title into a three letter code (which, don't worry, are listed), for example "VM2 - 123" refers to the 123rd page of Vampire the Masquerade, second edition. There is no help file or user file or the like. If you have a problem, e-mail me.

Alternative option: If you can't get hold of a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE or similar, then you can instead download INDEX.EXE (xxxx bytes). This is a self-extracting ZIP file. Once downloaded, run the file and it will decompress itself to form the INDEX.XLS file.

Criticism: If you do decide to download this index, and use its contents, then I would very much appreciate any comments you wish to make; good, bad, or indifferent. I believe there's always room for improvement in anything except the woman I love. My e-mail address is stelio@stelio.net.
