Games:Puzzles in Lone Wolf
From Stiki
Some of the Lone Wolf gamebooks include puzzles that can be solved to give a numerical answer, the answer indicating which section of the book to turn to when a correct solution has been found. Typically the puzzles are riddles that can be solved through the use of elementary algebra, or have grids of numbers for which missing values must be derived by determining and extending the pattern of the numbers provided.
A few of the puzzles give reasoning for how they are solved in the correct solution section, but most do not. Additionally each book has over 300 numbered sections to look through if you cannot solve the puzzle yourself. This page therefore documents the solutions for each of the puzzles, explaining how to work out the solutions in each case. For some of the puzzles there are also hints sections that help you to solve the puzzle yourself without giving you an explicit final answer.
Under the terms of the Project Aon Licence, the text and illustrations from the Lone Wolf books are available from the Project Aon website, but it would be breach the licence if any copies of text or illustrations were included on this site. Hence these pages have multiple links to various sections of the copies of the books on Project Aon, rather than quoting the paragraphs of text relating to each of the puzzle.
