Games:Passaris picture puzzles
From Stiki
Each puzzle consists of a single square that is constructed from smaller black and white squares. The challenge is to reconstruct the pattern in as few moves as possible, abiding by the following rules:
- You start with a blank white square.
- One move consists of drawing a single square of any size within the confines of the puzzle.
- All colour in the area contained by the square you have drawn is inverted: white becomes black, and black becomes white.
Here is an example of how they work, showing a simple two-move puzzle:
Starting with the blank white square on the left, two smaller squares are laid on top. The first will turn the area that it fills completely black. The second will turn white areas at the end into black, and black areas in the middle back to white.
The minimum number of moves that puzzle can be solved in does not necessarily reflect the difficulty of solving that puzzle.
