A Guide to Mixing Drinks
So by now you've probably tried a variety of alcoholic beverages, and marvelled at their diversity. Possibly you may have aimed to try each and every drink imaginable (though this seems both foolhardy and expensive). Well what if you have tried them all? What challenge next? Well, possibly you could try mixing the drinks and seeing what happens. This is the life of the cocktail - the clink of the ice, the splash of the vodka, the choking gag of the drinker. Pity the poor unfortunates who have worked to bring you these more palatable cocktails. They have suffered for their art.

The Cobbler is a drink of American origin, although it is now an established favourite, particulary in warm climates. It is simple to make, but it is usual to make it acceptable to the eye as well as the palate by decorating with fruits of the season after the ingredients are mixed.
Fill 7 oz. Wineglass with cracked Ice.
3 oz. of required Wine (Burgundy, Claret, Port Wine, Rhine Wine, Sherry, etc.) or 2 oz. of required Spirit (Rum, Whisky, Brandy, Gin, etc.)
1 teaspoonful of Sugar.
4 Dashes Curacao.
Stir well with barspoon to loosen ice.
Decorate with fruit.
Add optional sprig of mint.
Serve with straws.
